Brian Alberty was a member of a family-owned art and craft business founded in 1954 by his grandfather, Pat Catanzarite. For 20 years, Brian was a member of the executive team that focused on strategic planning, acquisitions, budgeting, retirement planning, finance and organizational structure.
Other core competencies of Brian’s include global supply chain operations, logistics, inventory management, manufacturing, quality assurance, product compliance, customs/brokerage, product legal affairs, customer service, budgeting, financial planning/reporting and software enhancement.
Navigating through the complexities of a family business was an area of emphasis as well.
The company eventually grew to a $275MM business with 32 stores, 2000+ employees and three (3) generations of family members involved. After 62 years, the business was sold to Michaels Stores in 2016.
Brian’s business, 360Coaching, LLC, is focused on learning about the needs of privately-owned family businesses. His passion for helping others and commitment to cause leads to developing vertical depth relationships with those he serves. There are an unlimited number of variables and nuances associated with family companies- balancing the overarching objectives of the business with the needs of the family while honoring the past is a mindful pursuit with Brian’s work. At Pat Catan’s, the true potential was realized when outside trusted resources were supported, becoming an integral part of the organization. Through Brian’s engagement, his goal will be to follow the same formula in helping his clients set the course for future success and building upon their company’s legacy.
