Shiah Luna is an actor, singer, songwriter and creative mentor that loves to collaborate on projects allowing her to give back through her art. As she leans into her Native American Indigenous and Mexican roots it brings life to the roles she plays and community outreach through music. Her philanthropic start began in Uganda, Africa in 2011 where “Together We Are Strong” had its 1st project of bridging 2 communities. One being her home town in central California and one in the heart of the world. With Plant A Seed Foundation and Greater Purpose they brought music classes, built a sustainable chicken farm, built water wells and shared many life changing memories.
In 2019, she revived the concept in Los Angeles, CA with local at risk youth bringing arts and entertainment. This project is the bridge between law enforcement and our community! With the support of LAPD and LA Police Museum, “Together We Are Strong” continues to raise money for ongoing after school music, dance and art programs. She later joined The Goodness Tour during the pandemic to create a song for the frontline workers called “Thank You For All You Do”. Later, she joined the whole team at Basecamp Recovery Center in Columbus, Ohio helping patients facing addiction through music and art therapy. In collaboration with the Reid Foundation they were able to reach people in distress with the healing power of music and creative expression and continue to do so with ongoing programs including music. Shiah continues to mentor teens facing mental health adversities holding music therapy groups all around Southern California.
You can watch her on NBC’s Hit TV Drama “FOUND”, and she continues to create and release original music available on all streaming platforms.
