James Petkunas is a technology and e-commerce senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles and industries. In addition to running all aspects of a global technology organization, James has extensive experience in running multi-channel E-commerce organizations with executive P&L ownership. He has the unique experience of managing all aspects of an e-commerce business including marketing, product, supply chain, and technology. His current role is president of a consulting group specializing in helping companies maximize their e-commerce opportunities.
James began his career in consulting at Accenture, one of the world’s leading global consulting organizations. During that time, he worked in various capacities implementing supply chain systems, managing large complex projects, and helping companies realize value through process improvements.
James next job was CIO/VP of Technology at Lamrite West, where he developed an enterprise technology strategy and led the rebuild of the technology organization, governance, and corporate systems. He implemented multiple, large infrastructure projects along with the selection and implementation of new retail systems, warehouse management systems, and ERP systems. In addition, James built and launched an E-commerce organization, including B2B and B2C channels.
Lamrite was purchased by Michaels Companies where he was selected to co-lead the cross-functional integration project to realize synergies between Lamrite and the parent Michaels companies. At Michaels, James held the role of VP of Ecommerce and had P&L responsibilities for 3 e-commerce business channels spanning B2B, B2C, and online marketplaces. Functional areas that reporting into James included Digital Marketing, E-commerce Technology, E-commerce Product Merchandising, E-commerce Supply Chain, and Online Marketplace Sales During his tenure, the E-commerce business grew from ground floor to over $50 Million in annual sales.
James holds a BS in mathematics from John Carroll University. James currently lives in Broadview Heights, Ohio with his wife and three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and being engaged in his local community.
