Carol Stephan is a lawyer leading the gift -planning program at California Pacific Medical Center; a large community-based health care system with multiple sites and offering multiple specialties in the San Francisco Bay area. She believes that philanthropy and charitable gifting succeed by engaging and connecting people to the causes they care most about –at the right time and in the right way. No matter the task at hand, Carol combines her core philosophy with the proven ability to offer strategic and technical expertise so that meaningful charitable gifts consistently happen.
Over the last 5 years, Carol’s ability to design, implement and grow comprehensive major and planned giving programs created significant charitable giving at health care, higher education and international humanitarian non-profits. Previously, Carol was in private practice for 15 years in Summit County, Ohio where she focused on family law and estate planning and also served as Deputy General Counsel for a northeast Ohio insurance company. Carol graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, from Kent State University.
